8:45 - 9:25 State of TEP

  •     Membership forecast - Not inconceivable that we will lose more of Franklin County, however, there have been no new cancellations of membership.
  •     New member possibiities - Granby, W. Springfield and Chicopee have expressed an interest.

TO DO: Write to them when new Microsoft contract numbers are available. - DG

Second Annual Tech Conf. & Expo - General consensus was that we should do it, assuming we have enough people to work on it. Bill volunteered and Angela has said that she would also help. Some discussion of dates. It was decided that we should explore late May , early June possibilities.

TO DO: Contact Carol Patterson re: late spring availablitiy for conference. - David

Budget review - As noted previously, the income from dues alone will not sustain the organization over the long term. This means that we need to do the Conference for economic reasons, among others, and/or find additional sources of income. It appears however, due to profit from the Conference and the fact that DG cancelled health insurance benefits for the second half of the year, we will be starting the new year with roughly $35,000. So we could spend that down over the next few years before we would run out of money.

The rest of the items on the agenda were tabled because we had a very small turnout, perhaps because of the tornadoes on June 1. The webinar with Atomic Learning was cancelled and will be rescheduled in the fall if there is sufficient interest. The Executive Board will meet to discuss next steps for establishing meeting time, etc.
