Available Courses

  • Introductory course on GIS and ArcView 9.2 software.
  • Teachers will learn to utilize a variety of web-based free and open source tools to strengthen understanding and instructional strategies focused on the mathematics curricula for grades 5 - 9.
  • Appointments, Tasks, and Reminders can all be saved and shared in Groupwise and accessed via the Groupwise client or Webmail.

  • This course introduces you to the basic resources and activities available in Moodle.
  • This is a place where we can put resources that will help us use Moodle to teach effectively.
  • This course will cover the research and implementation of strategies for effectively integrating on-line resources into the curriculum. Participants will learn about employing optimal search strategies using popular search engines such as Google, Alta Vista, Yahoo, and Lycos to find resources tied to the frameworks. Using web-based and stand-alone authoring tools, they will learn how to create a variety of web resources such as hot lists, web quests, blogs, wikis, and resource-rich web pages for student use in projects and presentations. In addition, participants will enroll in an on-line course and learn how to work within and design a course in Moodle, an open source course management system (CMS).
